Ashland University Football head coach Lee Owens and senior tailback Vance Settlemire both stopped by the WRDL studios on Wednesday, Sept. 21st, for Owens’ weekly interview on The Early Bird’s Word.  The two talked all things AU Football, including this past week’s victory over the Findlay Oilers.  They also provided the crew with an in-depth look at the Eagles’ upcoming matchup with the #7 Ferris State Bulldogs.  The Eagles are ranked 5th in the latest AFCA polls. The Eagles’ matchup with the Bulldogs will be the team’s first road game against since Oct. 24th, 2015 and first matchup with Ferris State since the 2013 season.  The Eagles lost that game 34-7.
