Eagles Handle Western Washington, Head to Friday’s Championship Game

The Ashland University women’s basketball team is headed to the Division II NCAA women’s basketball championship game after defeating Western Washington 66-54 Tuesday night. Ashland got out to a big first half lead, and although WWU would tighten the game up in the second, the Eagles proved to be too much to handle.

The Eagles will take on Dowling University Friday at 8pm in San Antonio to try and avenge last year’s championship game loss. Pregame on 88.9 WRDL or on wrdlfm.com begins at 7:45.
