Ashland Mayor Glen Stewart to retire

Ashland City Mayor Glen Stewart announced on Monday, Dec. 5 that he will be retiring from office shortly after the New Year, effective January 21, 2017.  Ashland City Council has the responsibility of appointing a new mayor within 30 days.  Mayor Stewart has served as Mayor of Ashland since 2008 and is a weekly guest on Ashland’s only live and local morning show, The Early Bird’s Word.  Mayor Stewart will be in the WRDL Studios on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 7:15 am to talk about this recent decision.  All of Mayor Stewart’s appearances on The Early Bird’s Word can be found on the WRDL Soundcloud page and WRDLFM.com.
