AU Women’s Basketball downs pair of GLIAC foes

Ashland University Women’s Basketball improved to 16-0 on the season after beating both the Michigan Tech Huskies and the Northern Michigan Wildcats in GLIAC play.

Inside Kate’s Gymnasium, the #1-ranked Eagles defeated the Huskies 82-75 on Thursday, Jan. 5 before beating the Huskies 103-55 on Saturday, Jan. 7.

Junior forward Laina Snyder led all Ashland players with 22 points and 10 rebounds against the Huskies and scored 15 against Northern Michigan. Junior forward Andi Daugherty scored 14 points and 18 points in respective games.

The Eagles now prepare for their upcoming GLIAC South Division matchup with the Ohio Dominican Panthers on Thursday, Jan. 12.
