IT Thursday: Ben Schwartz talks AU Phishing “incident”

Ashland University Information Technology Director of Infrastructure and Security, Ben Schwartz, stopped by the WRDL Studios on Thursday, Mar. 30 to discuss the recent phishing incident at AU.  The incident was in fact a test of AU’s phishing prevention methods.  Schwartz touched upon many topics within the world of IT safety and security, including the importance of properly monitoring your personal and work email accounts.  All suspected phishing attempt to any University email account should be reported by emailing spam@ashland.edu.  AU Information Technology is located on the first floor of Patterson Hall and is open to all AU Students.
