Both the Ashland University men’s and women’s basketball teams came up with big victories over Wayne State Saturday.

The Eagle women took care of the Warriors 84-68 and improved to 12-6 on the season (8-4 in the GLIAC). AU was able to take advantage in the post, scoring 36 team points in the paint. Freshman forward Andi Daugherty finished with 23 points.

The Eagle men survived a second-half surge from the Warriors to win 73-59. Sophomore forward Wendell Davis led AU in points (26), rebounds (10) and assists (3).
