Eagles Split With Findlay, Miller Scores 1000
The Ashland University men’s and women’s basketball teams split a doubleheader with Findlay Thursday night.
The women took care of business in the opening game, beating the Oilers 88-80. Senior guard Alyssa Miller led the team with 11 rebounds and 5 assists, but her biggest achievement was scoring her 1000th career point in an Eagle uniform. The AU men fell in the nightcap to UF 69-55. Will Evans led the Eagles in points (13) and assists (5), but it wasn’t enough to overcome Findlay’s Jake Heagen, who led all scorers with 18 points. Click below to listen to coach John Ellenwood’s postgame interview.
