The Early Bird’s Word featured two great interviews Wednesday morning, both revolving around the recent poor weather that’s hit the Ashland area.

The first interview was with Ashland Mayor Glen Stewart. Stewart discussed the growing number of potholes in the city and how the city is dealing with road salt shortage.

In the second interview, AU softball coach Sheilah Gulas joined the show to talk about Eagle softball. The softball team hasn’t played a game in over a week due to weather. Both of those interviews can be heard below.

On a related note, WRDL still plans to broadcast Ashland University baseball March 29 and 30 against Grand Valley State. As of 9:00 Wednesday morning, the games had not been moved, postponed or canceled. Stay tuned to 88.9 WRDL for updates.
