Ashland University President Dr. Fred Finks stopped by the WRDL morning show on Monday to wrap up the 2013-2014 academic year.

In addition to offering general comments about the university, President Finks gave some insight into a new prioritization initiative at AU.

“These are some tough times for colleges and universities in higher education,” said Finks. “So there needs to be some cutbacks. There needs to be some reorganizations and new ways of thinking about how education should be done.”

Finks said a new plan to, “reorganize, cut, and redesign,” the university this summer will be presented by committees consisting of faculty and administration leadership.
