Both Ashland University men’s and women’s basketball defeated Walsh Thursday.

The Eagle women won 90-62, thanks in large part to a strong first half. Ashland entered halftime up 41-19. Laina Snyder and Taylor Woods both had 21 points for AU.

Ashland men’s basketball had to sweat out a 73-56 victory over Walsh to keep pace in the GLIAC South. Wendell Davis led the way for the Eagles with 19 points, and Paul Honigford scored 11 points off the bench.
