Bill Royce talks College Football Hall of Fame

Former Ashland University All-American and defensive end from the 1990’s, Bill Royce, stopped by the WRDL studios on Monday, Mar. 14th to talk about his upcoming induction into the 2016 College Football Hall of Fame class. Royce also shared thoughts on his memories from his time at AU and his continued involvement with the university as part of AU Football’s Gridiron Club.  During his playing days, Royce set the NCAA Division II all-time record for sacks in a career with 71. One of the best players in the early days of the Midwest Intercollegiate Football Conference, Royce was a two-time All-American, the 1993 MIFC Player of the Year, a two-time MIFC Defensive Player of the Year and a two-time MIFC Defensive Lineman of the Year.
