Ashland University Baseball picked up a victory in their home opener against Saginaw Valley State.

The Eagles crushed the Cardinals 16-3 in their opener in nine innings, led by RHP Brandyn Sittinger who picked up the victory in six innings of work while striking out nine batters.

Ashland improves to 8-6, alternating wins and losses over their last nine games.  The Eagles’ home opener versus Saginaw Valley State is the start of 13 consecutive home games at Donges Field.
