AU Baseball sweeps Storm
Ashland University Baseball bounced back to their winning ways, sweeping Lake Erie University in a two-game series at Donges Field.
The Eagles began their impressive day with a 15-5 win over the Storm, followed by a darkness-shortened game which they won 14-7.
Sophomore third baseman JP Sorma had a terrific day behind the plate, going 3-for-3 with two doubles and three runs scored in the Eagles’ 15-5 win in game one.
Junior RHP Brandyn Sittinger took the mound in game one of the series, needing just four innings of work to stay undefeated at 6-0. He gave up four hits, one run and a walk, while striking out six.
The Eagles improve to 18-11 overall, 9-1 in the GLIAC and 8-0 in the GLIAC South Division. The Eagles now begin a ten-game road trip before returning home on Tuesday, Apr. 26th against Cedarville University.
