Flash Flood Watch: 7/13/17
A Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for much of the WRDL listening area, including Ashland County, until Friday morning (7/14/17). Please do not drive through water covered roads.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move across the WRDL listening area this evening (7/13/17). Some storms will be capable of producing extremely high rainfall rates. Areas affected by the watch include within the WRDL listening area include Ashland, Holmes, Knox, Medina, Morrow, Richland, and Wayne County.
The following is from the National Weather Service in Cleveland:
* Thunderstorms may produce high rainfall rates with localized rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches through Friday morning. Rain will end with the passage of a cold front on Friday morning.
* Excessive rainfall may lead to flash flooding of streams, low lying spots, and poor drainage areas especially in urban and hilly locations. Those camping along area streams and rivers should be especially cautious as streams and rivers can rise to dangerous levels very quickly.
