CAS Spotlight: Craig Hovey on MLK Day
Associate Professor of Religion at Ashland University and the Director of the Ashland Center for Nonviolence, Dr. Craig Hovey, stopped by The Early Bird’s Word on Saturday, Jan. 12 to discuss the center’s upcoming’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day presentation titled, “Lessons from King’s Riverside Speech.” Dr. Pamela Brooks from Oberlin College will be speaking at the presentation as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day event on the AU campus. According to Ashland.edu, “the event will take place Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Jack and Deb Miller Chapel and Dr. Brooks’ presentation will discuss the speech Dr. King gave in 1967 at the Riverside Church.”
