AU Women’s Basketball loses in Title Game
The #1-ranked Ashland University Women’s Basketball finished the 2017-2018 season at 36-1 after falling in the NCAA Division II National Championship game.
The Eagles were downed by the Central Missouri Jennies 66-52, snapping their record-setting winning streak at 73 games.
Senior forward Laina Snyder scored 16 points on 8-20 shooting. Snyder also hauled in nine rebounds.
Central Missouri shot 50-percent from the field, on 26-52 shooting, in route to capturing the program’s second National Championship.
