Kari Pickens details new position
Ashland University Women’s Basketball head coach Kari Pickens stopped by the WRDL Studios on Monday, April 9 for her first interview on “Afternoons with Tyler.” Pickens discussed her recent promotion to the head coaching position at Ashland University. Pickens is now the 13th head coach in program history after she spent the past five seasons as an assistant coach, including one as the program’s associate head coach. According to GoAshlandEagles.com, “as an assistant coach, Pickens was named WBCA NCAA Division II Assistant Coach of the Year in 2016-17, and earned one of the WBCA’s inaugural “Thirty Under 30″ awards in 2015-16.”
