WRDL News was live on the scene this afternoon as law enforcement officials continue the search for 26-year-old fugitive Shawn Christy, believed to still be in the Richland County area. Christy is considered armed and dangerous. Christy is wanted by the FBI, U.S. Marshal’s Service, and U.S. Secret Service. According to Tracey Geibel of Richland Source in Mansfield, “Christy is wanted by the FBI for alleged threats against President Donald Trump and for interstate communication of threats. He may be in possession of stolen handguns.”

UPDATE (9/21/18): After a six-day manhunt, Federal authorities captured Shawn Christy in Richland County. According to Noah Jones of Richland Source, “Local law enforcement was stopping vehicles in the Crider Road area and checking trunks after 2 p.m. on Friday. Christy was reportedly captured near the Camp Mowana area.”
