Retired New York Firefighter Pete Scarlatos spoke with WRDL during The Early Bird’s Word about his time serving with the FDNY and his memories of September 11th, 2001. Scarlatos served with the FDNY from 1998 until 2007. 2,977 people were killed in the 9/11 attacks, including 343 firefighters.
