On Saturday, April 17, 88.9 WRDL will be participating in Vinylthon 2021. Hosted by the College Radio Foundation, Vinylthon is a day in which College Radio stations are encouraged to play vinyl on-air.  This year, WRDL will again be playing 24 hours of music exclusively on vinyl records. In 2019, WRDL was one of two dozen stations across the country that played vinyl for 24 straight hours. WRDL also did so in 2017 and 2018. For the station’s efforts during Vinylthon 2017, 2018, and 2019, WRDL received the Golden Slipmat award, awarded to all stations who played vinyl exclusively for 24 hours.
