Ashland University Wrestling head coach, Colt Sponseller, stopped by the WRDL Studios on Tuesday, November 2 to spotlight AU Wrestling and the team’s season progress. According to GoAshlandEagles.com, “Sponseller, now in his second season at the Eagles’ helm, led them in his first season to a Great Midwest Athletic Conference championship, then a seventh-place nationals finish with five All-Americans, after spending the previous five years as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I Ohio University. Prior to coming to guide the Eagles, Sponseller was an assistant with the Bobcats, with whom he coached 19 NCAA qualifiers, one Mid-American Conference champion, one NCAA All-American and three Top 30 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Academic Teams.”
