Martha Buckner and Michael Repper preview performance
Executive Director of the Ashland Symphony Orchestra, Martha Buckner, and Conductor Finalist, Michael Repper stopped by the WRDL Studios on Friday, January 21 to preview the upcoming “Champs-Elysees to Broadway” performance for the ASO. According the organization’s website, “Ring in the new year with festive music by Franz Joseph Haydn, Joan Tower, and George Gershwin! Bask in the joyous glow of the Parisian concert scene with Haydn’s Symphony No.83, “The Hen,” before being transported home to the USA for folk and jazz inspired music. The Ashland Symphony will perform Joan Tower’s Made in America, the composer’s epic fantasia on the tune “America the Beautiful,” before concluding with Gershwin’s famous Rhapsody in Blue.
