Ashland University Baseball head coach, John Schaly, stopped by the WRDL Studios on Tuesday, February 15 to give an update on AU Baseball. According to GoAshlandEagles.com, “Schaly is the owner of a 1,204-664-7 career record. Early in the 2015 season, he made college baseball history with his late father, Don, as they became the first father-son tandem at four-year institutions to each win 1,000 career games. In the AU dugout, Schaly is 841-446-4. The Eagles have played in the NCAA postseason 16 times under Schaly. They have won five regional championships and reached the NCAA Division II College World Series five times. The Eagles’ most recent World Series appearance came in 2019. AU has won 40 or more games eight times under Schaly’s direction.”
