Businesses to re-open across Ohio
As the State of Ohio begins to slowly re-open starting in May, the Ohio Department of Health continues to urge residents to practice social distancing and healthy habits. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine says Ohio plans on re-opening in multiple phases. During a press conference on Thursday, May 7th, Governor DeWine announced the re-opening dates for those businesses affected most by closures amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
On May 15th, barbershops, hair salons, nail salons, day spas, and tanning facilities are permitted to re-open for business. Restaurants and bars are scheduled to re-open for sit down and dine-in services on May 21st, but can offer outside dining options as soon as May 15th.
In late April, the Ohio Department of Health announced an extension of the state’s current Stay-At-Home Order. The order will last until May 29th, when the ODH will then reassess the situation. Re-openings across the state are in alignment with what Governor DeWine has called the “Responsible Restart Ohio” plan.
