Dr. Teresa Durbin-Ames previews “The Importance of Being Earnest”

Associate Professor and Artistic Director of Theatre at Ashland University, Dr. Teresa Durbin-Ames, stopped by the WRDL Studios on Monday, October 28 to preview “The Importance of Being Earnest!” According to Ashland.edu, “The Ashland University Department of Theatre will present the classic Oscar Wilde comedy “The Importance of Being Earnest,” to be performed Thursday, Oct. 31, through Sunday, Nov. 3, at the Studio Theatre in the Center for the Arts. The Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday’s matinee is at 2 p.m. This production of “The Importance of Being Earnest” is being directed by Teresa Durbin-Ames, associate professor of theatre. First performed in 1895, it shines a humorous light on the absurdities of Victorian society, especially those related to the pursuit of love and marriage.”
