AU Women’s Basketball cruises past Lake Erie 86-55

The Ashland University Women’s Basketball team rounded out their regular season in style, improving to 27-1 on the year after cruising past the Lake Erie Storm.

Thursday night, the sixth-ranked Eagles defeated the Storm 86-55.

Sophomore forward Laina Snyder led all scorers with 17 points, also grabbing six rebounds. Sophomore forward Andi Daugherty also chipped in with 16 points.

The Eagles now prepare for the opening round of the GLIAC Tournament.  As GLIAC Champions, the Eagles will host the entire tournament from Kate’s Gymnasium.  Their first game will be Tuesday, Mar. 1st.  That game will be broadcast live on 88.9 WRDL.
