AU Women’s Basketball advances to GLIAC Title game

The Ashland University Women’s Basketball team continued their quest for a GLIAC Title on Saturday, Mar. 5th, beating the Walsh Cavaliers in the GLIAC Final Four.

Saturday afternoon, the fifth-ranked Eagles defeated the Cavaliers 68-59.

Sophomore forward Andi Daugherty led all scorers with 21 points, also grabbing six rebounds. Sophomore forward Laina Snyder added 11 points, a team-high seven boards, two assists and two steals.

The Eagles now prepare for the GLIAC Title game against Grand Valley State on Sunday, Mar. 6th. As regular season GLIAC Champions, Ashland will host the entire tournament from Kate’s Gymnasium.  Sunday’s title game will be broadcast live on 88.9 WRDL.
