Ohio to slowly re-open economy
As the State of Ohio begins to slowly re-open starting in May, the Ohio Department of Health continues to urge residents to practice social distancing and healthy habits. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine says Ohio plans on re-opening in multiple phases. During a press conference on Monday, April 27th, Governor DeWine detailed the steps to phase one of re-opening the state’s economy.
In the first phase, companies re-opening, and those essential businesses already open, will be required to conduct daily health checks of employees, ensure social distancing, and sanitize workplaces regularly. Additionally, all businesses must require face coverings for employees at all times.
Various offices, distribution centers, manufacturers, and construction companies are allowed to open on Monday, May 4th. Governor DeWine said some consumer, retail, and service businesses may re-open on May 12th.
Gatherings of 10 or more are still prohibited at this time and there is no timetable on when bars, restaurants, gyms, movie theaters, daycare centers, or hair salons will open again.
