As the State of Ohio continues to slowly re-open throughout June, the Ohio Department of Health still urges residents to practice social distancing and healthy habits, including wearing masks in public.

During a press conference on Tuesday, May 19th, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced that Ohio’s long-standing Stay-At-Home Order has been replaced by an Urgent Health Advisory that Governor DeWine has called the “Ohioans Protecting Ohioans” initiative. Re-openings across the state are in alignment with the “Responsible Restart Ohio” plan.

According to the ODH,  the advisory “replaces language requiring Ohioans to stay at home with limited exceptions with language that strongly recommends that citizens, especially those who are high-risk, stay at home as much as possible. The order does not change the mass gathering restrictions, which remain at a 10-person limit.”

According to the Ashland County Health Department, the Ohio Department of Health’s Call Center can be reached at 1-833-4-ASK-ODH (1-833-427-5634). The ODH Call Center is staffed by nurses and infectious disease specialists 7 days a week from 9am until 8pm.
