WRDL News (07/31/26): The Ashland County Veterans Appreciation Committee is sponsoring the 2026 Veterans Appreciation Day on Saturday, August 8th at Freer Field in Ashland, Ohio. According to ACVAD.org, “The Ashland County Veterans Appreciation Day began in 2013 as a way to honor our local veterans. The first event was held at Freer Field in Ashland and served hotdogs to attendees. Now, the event has grown to an attendance of almost 6,000 people, offering food, entertainment, displays, demonstrations, flights, and boasts one of the areas best fireworks displays.” The event will include food vendors, live music, and military memorials on display.
