AU Women’s Basketball advance to GLIAC Final Four

The Ashland University Women’s Basketball team began their quest for a GLIAC Championship on Tuesday, Mar. 1st, downing the Northern Michigan Wildcats.

Tuesday night, the fifth-ranked Eagles defeated the Wildcats 68-54.

Sophomore forward Laina Snyder led all Eagle scorers with 16 points, also grabbing nine rebounds. Junior guard Alex Henning also chipped in with 12 points.

The Eagles now prepare for the Final Four of the GLIAC Tournament, with their semifinal matchup coming this Saturday, Mar. 5th against Walsh.  As GLIAC Champions, Ashland will host the entire tournament from Kate’s Gymnasium.  Saturday’s Final Four matchup will be broadcast live on 88.9 WRDL.
